Durand Adds Lower-Priced Kairos Tonearm to Line Plus Composite Telos
Durand added the new lower priced Kairos to its line of unipivot arms. The new arm features a tube of a proprietary composite material and an overall design scheme similar to the more expensive Telos arm that uses a wooden arm tube. That Telos can now be ordered as well with a version of the composite tube.
I encountered Mr. Durand at a static display and didn't have a chance to hear the new circa $6500 arm in action.
The Kairos has an effective length of 263mm, adjustable on the fly azimuth, anti-skating and rear mounted DIN jack.
