Brand new from ELAC is the Miracord 70 turntable, one step down from the Miracord 90. The 'table is so new the prototype arm arrived too late to be installed on the display 'table, which was fitted with the arm found on the 90.

However, we got a look at the arm, which was fitted with an Audio Technica AT95E, among the best cartridge values out there and great sounding at any price. Best of all ELAC hopes to be able to sell the 70 with AT95E and "proper" dust cover for $1000.00. BTW: by the time your reporter got to this room he was running on fumes (if you didn't notice).
