Still sharp - very cool. In the end, it's probably better to fade away than the alternative.

The old joke goes that after the nuclear apocalypse, all that will remain are cockroaches and Keith Richards.

I've read on some of the forums that the CD is loud and compressed, but the LP has gotten some praise. I am curious if you're going to review this, and if you were able to determine whether the source used to cut the record is analog or digital. Thanks!

You know that will be the case Mike. We can't be letting you run off to do more shows or equipment analysis (although we like them too)........as you know how much we appreciate your LP reviews (the best hands down). No patronizing goin' on here either either, I can assure you.

Fans of Keith should really check out the KR-produced (& he plays & sings too) Wingless Angels I & 2, probably available only on cd at this point. Jamaican roots (blues/gospel?) w/ great Justin Hinds & other elders singing transcendent music for the heavens.

WIngless Angels 1&2 is available as a 4-LP set (limited to 1000 copies): http://store.keithrichards.com/wingless-angels-1/wingless-angels-deluxe-...

Curious what others here think about this recording...Maybe it was recorded analog but mixed digitally? There's some fine, witty, inventive music on here but the sound is frequently hard - smeared and dank and dark...As opposed to the actual (musical) content which is fresh & inviting...That kind of dissonance is most annoying! I ordered the LP & CD, & there's a delay on the LP so all I can go by is the CD...Is the vinyl edition a noticeable improvement?

I haven't A/B'd them, but I'm pretty impressed by the sound of the LP so far.
