John Prine's Grammy Award Winning "The Missing Years" To Be Released on Double 180g Vinyl

John Prine's Grammy Award winning (for "Best Contemporary Folk Album") 1992 album The Missing Years will make its "long overdue" vinyl debut July 9th on his Oh Boy record label. It will include a digital download as well as photos and "era artifacts" on the gatefold jacket as well as "The Third of July," a previously unreleased song recorded during the album sessions.

The record, which Prine says was "built around my acoustic guitar" was produced by the late Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers bassist Howie Epstein who died back in 2003 at age 47.

The $24.99 double vinyl release pre-sale began Tuesday June 18th on John Prine's official online store

No word on the source used to cut lacquers.

I received my copy of the vinyl yesterday. 

Beautiful gatefold package and the immaculate pressings sound terrific. Thanks again for the tip.

I used to listened "The Missing Years" soundtrack all over again  in my soundcloud plays because i love the songs especially its lyrics. And to my surprise it is an award winning album, and it will be released on Vinyl,,,so amazing, love it!
