Nonesuch email blast just now announces 50% off "everyday low prices" for the next 24 hours on all vinyl, CDs, MP3s, FLAC, HD merchandise. Just enter promo code AUTUMN at checkout. Nonesuch is one of the only labels that does not sent reviewers any vinyl promos so I'll be shopping too. Sale ends 1PM Tuesday October 16th (the 2000 Year Old Man's birthday).

I ordered David Byrne's American Utopia, Joshua Rodman's Still Dreaming, Randy Newman's Harps and Angels and k.d. lang's Ingenue 25th Anniversary Edition (2LPs). I strongly recommend The Randy Newman Songbook box set. Solo performances of Newman classics superbly recorded and presented. At half price you can't beat it!

...for the heads up! Picked up the k.d. Lang LP. There are quite a few Emmylou Harris and Wilco albums, which I already have, but some great titles listed.

It frustrates me to no end when record manufactures dont tell you how they make there records. What the source is, analog or digital file, and how or if it was mastered. I am not interested in buying digital mastered records, and if they do not disclose that there records are taken from original master tapes i have to assume they used digital files. Just saying. They also need user comments so we get a sence of there sound quality.
