Legendary mastering and recording engineer Stan Ricker passed away today. That is all I know at this time. As I learn more I will update this news item.
Capitol/UMe Records recently announced an 8 LP "The Band" The Capitol Albums !968-1977".The good news here is that the 9 LP box set containing 8 albums (Rock of Ages is a double LP) was pressed at QRP, on 180g vinyl, features "faithfully replicated album art and packaging" costs $150.00
First released in 2002 on CD and double LP, this collection of familiar Nirvana tunes plus the then previously unreleased "You Know You're Right" is again being reissued with some new production twists.

It's official: The recently released Sanctuary Kinks albums were mastered by Kevin Gray from the original Pye master tapes. Gray just got permission to reveal this.
