I must concur. This album was and still is one of the greatest rock n' roll albums ever made. As Bowie transformed himself into Ziggy (influenced by both Iggy and the NYC scene) the music, lyric and theatrics still hold up today. Sadly, there is nothing found in today's market that even comes close. I as well got to meet and hang with Bowie (in Philly several years later). Rumor still has it that he's a cheap fuck. Figures. All in all, a great artist and probably one of the last with real longevity in a business that has changed so immensely over the years.
I wonder how the DVD sounds? Hearing the Station to Station CD reissue was/is a downer. Sounds way too dry to my ears with the original CD sounding better. That too is available in a DVD-A remix that I haven't heard. But hey, this is about analog!
