But, I'll bet the sound is anything but old-school.  Can't wait for the review.

I have just a little over 400 hours on my REF-75 and its just coming into it's own. The midrange clarity was there from the beginning and had the least grain, especially on female voices, that I've heard in my system. Now with 400+ hours, the sound is amazing from top to bottom. This is some of the best bass I've ever heard from a tube amp. The midrange is do die for, and the top end is sweet and clear. This amp seems to transend both tube and solid state and just leaves you listening to the music. I know its old hat to say that it seems that I have a whole new record collection, but how about this: with this amp in the system, CDs are finally worth listening to.

Well, that's too big... I wonder how does the power box functions on this stereo amplifier. Though it's not stylish, I think it really works good! www.collegepaper.org Wilson Avenue Dallas, TX 75247

For some years following the introduction of solid state amplifiers, their perceived sound did not have the excellent audio quality of the best valve amplifiers (see valve audio amplifier). This led audiophiles to believe that valve sound had an intrinsic quality due to the vacuum tube technology itself. weiter lesen
