Best Kennedy Assassination Song To Play "Live" On Analogplanet.com November 22nd.
1) "He Was A Friend of Mine" by The Byrds
2) "It Took Seconds of Your Time To Take His Life" by The Human League
3) "Brand New '64 Dodge" by Greg Brown
I have received permission from Red House Records to post on November 22nd "Brand New '64 Dodge" from Greg Brown's album The Poet Game.
I have the Red House Records vinyl album cut by Stan Ricker and issued in Germany by the Good Buy label and will transfer it to high resolution digital using the new Lyra Etna cartridge on the Continuum Caliburn using PS Audio's new NuWave Phono converter. I will then post the audio and video of the record playing on my YouTube channel and embed the video on analogplanet.com.
If you know the song, you know how powerful it is. If you don't, bring Kleenex. The entire album is outstanding.
Thank you Red House Records!

I don't know the second & third songs. Another one, apparently only partly about JFK, is Peter Gabriel's "Family Snapshot":
I still love that album It really works as an album, and Seconds really makes side two. It's nice to see it get some love.
Here's the track from Youtube:

The Cowboy Junkies just released on Tuesday "The Kennedy Suite". It's a rock opera/documentry on the Kennedy assassination. I bought the download and it's...different.
About a month ago I heard on WFMU a tune about the assassinated President Kennedy that could be categorized as a doo-woop tune. Don't remember the title or artist. Can anyone help?

Definitely the most effed up song mentioned here, but it's a good one. My personal favorite Misfits tune. As with all of Glen Danzig's lyrics, they are not intellectually stimulating, but they are completely raw.
