We will be in this weekend for the Zombies Oddesey & Oracle reunion concert, too bad time doesn't permit us to do both the concert & the WAX event. How about a video of the panel discussion?
Los Angeles "WAX" and Audio Salon Events This Weekend!
The first one will be Friday evening beginning at 6:30 PM at The Audio Salon in Santa Monica beginning at 6:30PM. I will talk about the joys of vinyl and spin records using the Swedish Analog Technologies tone arm mounted on a Brinkmann Balance turntable.
I'll also play some hi-rez files. The rest of the system includes Constellation electronics and Wilson Audio Specialties Alexia loudspeakers. This is going to be an entertaining evening of music and fun so if you're in the Los Angeles area, please come on by!
On Saturday I'll be moderating a circa 4:00 PM panel at the WAX event happening both Saturday and Sunday on the importance of sound with panelists Bernie Grundman, Chris Bellman and Kevin Gray—three of today's most highly respected mastering engineers. It should be a terrific panel discussion during the two day WAX event that includes live music, vinyl and memorabilia vendors and much more all taking place in the Capitol Records Tower parking lot (below which is the famed Capitol Studios reverb chamber).
Shouid be a great weekend!

The concert is at the Saban Theater on Wilshire at 9-they'll be performing the complete Oddesey & Oracle with original members Chris White & Hugh Grundy. Having seen them 4 or 5 times in the last few years I can attest that Colin Blunstone's voice is as stunning as ever.
I wonder if Santa's elves could make me one of those SAT tonearms?
I hope you or someone captures the panel discussion with Bernie Grundman, Chris Bellman and Kevin Gray! That's almost worth flying to LA to to catch!
But is that an XLF lurking in the shadows behind you? Speaker reviews in the works??
I'd love to see you post a detailed look at your listening room some time. I love all the little snipets, but would really like to have a good look!
Sounds like my kind of event, but I can't get out that way. Oh well, there will be other opportunities, I'm sure.
I am planning on attending the Audio Salon event tonight. I am going to bring my in-laws who are visiting from Taiwan. They haven't a clue about quality analog music so it should be a fun and enlightening experience for them. I hope. It'll be fun for me at least ;)
Your wife must be a saint to put up with you ;)
