As we take a brief pause to honor all who have served here on Veterans Day, I did want to take a moment to note that we will soon enough be posting extensive coverage of this past weekend’s Capital Audiofest, which was held in Rockville, Maryland, this past weekend (November 8-10, 2024).

By all accounts, CAF 2024 was another great show, as expected. Two of our stalwart contributors, Ken Micallef and Julie Mullins, will be sharing their analog-centric show findings in a number of posts to come here on AP — but in the meantime, you can check out Ken’s broader-based gear coverage from the show over on our sister site, Stereophile, by clicking here.

Among the many great pieces of gear Ken saw and heard at the show is a beautiful Montrose Heirloom turntable fitted with a Schröder CB Ebony tonearm (SRP: $16,500) that was part of Christopher Hildebrand’s core Fern & Roby setup, as show below.
