The NY Times just reported that United Record Pressing plant will be doubling their capacity in Nashville.
Plus they printed a story about Newvelle Records and even had a link to this website.
Furnace Record Pressing Tests One of Ten Rebuilt Toolex Presses Soon to Go "Live"!
Do you need to see more pressing plants go online to be convinced that the vinyl resurgence is surging? How about this: Furnace Record Pressing in Fairfax Virginia will soon go "live" with ten fully rebuilt Toolex Alpha presses.
Furnace Chief Eric Astor wrote: "Next steps are to affix all of the rest of the parts, replace the analog controller with a PLC and then fire it up. We’re very excited. Live soon: 10 brand new presses."
Astor also runs Furnace Manufacturing the company that for more than a decade has done, among other things, final record assembly and packaging for major and indie labels, sourcing pressed records from its partner in Germany, Pallas.
Furnace purchased these ten presses and had them completely stripped down and rebuilt, as well as modernized with the latest technology designed to produce top quality vinyl records.
Here's a video showing one of the presses in "test mode":
