Injecting a personal note here: my parents lived within walking distance from the track but I wasn't there for this festival. However I did attend the second one, which took place during Christmas college break December 28-30th featuring Procol Harum, Joni Mitchell, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Fleetwood Mac, Richie Havens, Chuck Berry, Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf, Terry Reid, The Grateful Dead, Jr. Walker and The All Stars, The Charles Lloyd Quartet (with Keith Jarrett, etc.) and I could go on!

Was it great? What do you think?
