Does any one know a decent player for a MAC to stream those files either from soundcloud or wfdu?
A major part of the great effort of Michael will be lost otherwise.
Thanks in advance
Michiel
This week’s Analogplanet Radio show streamed on WFDU.fm and broadcast over the air on the station’s HD2 channel includes more Bowie, some Glen Frey solo plus Eagles and Mott the Hoople. Since Bowie produced some Mott, there’s a “twofer” tribute. Two songs from the Bowie produced classic Transformer are here as well.
You can stream here, or on < a href= http://wfdu2.streamrewind.com/bookmarks/listen/136793/analog-planet-radio>WFDU’s website
(Note: while there is no legal issue with streaming the show here, there are possible legal issues with downloading, so until that is settled, this show is streamable, but not downloadable. Sorry.)
This week’s playlist:
Young Americans
Mott: All the Young Dudes
Let’s Dance
DJ
Lou Reed: Vicious
Queen Bitch (box set reissue)
Queen Bitch (EMI Centennial edition
Lou Reed: Walk on the Wild Side
Cat People
Station to Station
Ashes to Ashes
Helden
Mott: You Really Got Me
After All (’72 UK reissue)
After All (Ryko CD)
Mott: I’m a Cadillac/El Camino Dolo Roso
Bowie: God Only Knows
Glen Frey: Caroline No
Eagles: Take it Easy
Eagles: Desperado
Eagles: The Last Resort
Bowie: The Stars (Are Out Tonight)
Glen Frey: Here’s to Life
Let’s hope next week’s show can be more about life than death!

It works in Firefox w/o any add-ons that I know of, maybe it's using the Flash Player plug-in, which I do have. I'm using a 2013 Mac Pro 6-core CPU w/ Yosemite and Firefox 43.0.4.
Michael: no downloadable file this week?
I heard the show live yesterday and really enjoyed it.
Just one question, is it just me but the pitch on the piano/strings on The Eagles Last Resort sounded off to me!
Playing it again as I type this and it definitely off (wow & flutter).
James, Dublin, Ireland.
I listened online yesterday to the radio show. I jotted off-the-cuff, quick notes as the two versions of Queen Bitch played, before it was revealed which was which.
First one:
nice separation
crunchy sound
2nd one:
oh god the opening guitar notes are super clean
vocals cleaner but not as prominent
better coherence
no obvious granola crunch
VOCAL INTONATION IS OF A REAL HUMAN
better background vocal delineation
good drive
and there just might be bass now
Michael, this makes me wonder if it is safe at all for you to be archiving the show on sound cloud. The only alternative I guess is for you to only post shows containing songs unavailable on CD or legal download, but that would severely limit the content of your radio show.

Pay to Play is alive and well even in the internet age.
My phone hiccupped.
More on the Copyright Police insanity: it's absolutely arbitrary nature. for example, a user has a playlist of the individual video/songs from Bowie VH-1 Storytellers on YouTube. Nothing odd about it, except the copyright police blocked one and one only track, "I Can't Read". The rest of the show is there for all to see.
Common sense would suggest that the entire show should be viewable, or none of it. It's not like you can go buy this show at the video store, right?
Of course Buffin's contribution to music as Dale Griffin the producer of over 2000 session recordings for the BBC Radio weekday evening "John Peel Show" is immeasurable, many band's preferred his results to any of their commercial releases, and the JPS was the soundtrack to many people musical life.
Apparently they are in financial disarray.
