the link doesn't work at the moment. Nevertheless, Uncle Neil (aka the Angry Old Hippie) is the man. Is that his ancient American sled converted to an electric car?

And you will definitely LOVE what all of your favorite artists have to say because they back up everything you believe about vinyl and sound quality! So watch this:

i set up that meet and greet! : )
what's the audioquest connection to Pono?
There have been some quite amazingly random writings about the launch of Pono. It seems very few people have read the FAQs or interviews with Neil Young and are just making up what it's all about.
After watching the video on Pono the first word that came into my mind was 'condescending' because all these great artists are telling us what the sound is like compared to MP3/CD when we knew it all along! I thought Charlie Musselwhite's description was best!
After 30 years of not buying a CD/MP3 player, I FEEL VINDICATED! Everybody thought I was mad listening to my hifi and talking about... stereo width/depth, transients, dynamics, reverb, thin, fat, thick, full bodied, bottom end. I rest my case!

Coming from a Recording Engineers perspective, at least the Pono player comes with a decent DAC chip. As far as Pono certified music, I think it's nothing more than a marketing ploy, but hats off to Neil for trying to give the listening public a better product.
I can't wait to hear the player when it is released.
That video is a complete joke. What a pile of absolute crap.
