King is still my favorite Elvis album... well, maybe The Delivery Man or Imperial Bedroom or Get Happy or A Boy Named If or Trust or Taking Liberties... lol.
After listening to the new Coward Brothers once last week, I need more time to love it. Someone on Amazon said they hated it as they sounded 'tired' and I want to resist that thought floating around. Elvis is on a roll with his last 3 studio albums, as I really dig Clockface as well and Don't Look Now is still solid as well.
Regarding the new release of KoA, I have the MoFi pressing before it disappeared and it does sound substantial and more powerful than my original copy bought 40 years ago. I wasn't stunned by the digital streamed version of it and now I wonder about the need for the new mastering / release. I really want the live stuff on the new CD box set and wish he would roll out a new LP set but given vinyl schedules these days, there's no way in hope probably.
Thank you Analog Planet for being so fricken hip all the damn time.
Merry Holidays and Blessings to all this and every day, week, month and year!
